Mark said… “Large Diesel but lots of small journeys since using the train a lot, so knew the carbon would be an issue (as cost me £900+ to get it sorted a few years back in similar case).
Anyhow, noticed it was low on power in low revs and running with a K&N air filter so replaced (not recharged) and improved slightly, then cleaned out EGR valve of lots of carbon, the issue still there.
Carbon cleaned my car and the other halves (worth the cash as a prevention and with a generous 2nd car discount to be honest) and the improvement is brilliant. Smoother revving and power delivery, better mpg and quieter tickover undoubtedly. Unfortunately didn’t resolve my issue as I later found it was my MAF sensor which I later cleaned and now runs lovely. Still glad I tried the carbon clean as my experience for sheer improvement was way above expectations. I will use again and may even carry out yearly as a preventative maintenance on my cars as they all clog. The treatment makes my car feel like new.”
